About the Author
David Hatcher Childress, known as the real-life Indiana Jones to the many fans of his books, is a captivating speaker and the author or coauthor of over 25 books. He has traveled the world several times over, seeking adventure and the answers to the mysteries of mankind's past.
Born in France in 1957 and raised in the mountains of Colorado and Montana, David's curiosity about the world was piqued at a young age. He attended the University of Montana where his studies in oriental culture and philosophy led him to a job teaching English in Taiwan. In 1976, David left the United States on what would become a six-year research and adventure odyssey. During this time, he studied first-hand the ancient civilizations of Africa, the Middle East and China, sometimes journeying into dangerous territory along the way (like Uganda during the overthrow of Idi Amin).
After more than 40 years of investigating these arcane subjects, David finds his unique views and ideas gaining popularity. He is currently a co-star on the History Channel show Ancient Aliens. This popular show is now in its eleventh season and David journeys to Peru, Bolivia and Mexico for episodes of the show. He has appeared on Fox-TV's Sightings and Encounters, two NBC-TV specials, The Conspiracy Zone, and segments for the Discovery Channel, A&E, the Sci-Fi Channel, the Disney Channel, The Travel Channel and others. David also appeared on the Canadian television show Weird or What?, hosted by William Shatner, in its 2011-2012 season. He is also a frequent guest on nationally syndicated radio shows. He continues to explore, write and excite people about discovery through his magazine, World Explorer, and his publishing company, Adventures Unlimited Press. When not traveling, he divides his time between his homes in Illinois and Arizona. He has bookstores open to the public in both locations.

And now we have Willem Witteveen's book, The Great Pyramid of Giza: A Modern View on Ancient Knowledge. We should welcome Witteveen's book, and it is an interesting read, indeed! One suspects that he is on the right track when he discusses such topics as sound and resonance, antennas, the Schumann frequency, and the special abilities of quartz, hydrogen and wavelengths.
I have always been fascinated by the Great Pyramid and, starting in 1978, I have made many trips to Egypt. The first trip was made specifically to examine the Great Pyramid after reading such books as Secrets of the Great Pyramid by Peter Tompkins. I firmly feel that investigators such as Christopher Dunn and Willem Witteveen are providing us with the most fascinating of all research into the Great Pyramid and the mystery of Giza in general.

Willem Witteveen (1957) studied nautical sciences and engineering, then spent 15 years as a navigational officer on merchant vessels, followed by 25 years as a maritime pilot in the Port of Rotterdam. His background in navigational sciences, together with his worldwide travels to many different countries, inspired a lifelong interest in ancient civilisations, ancient documents and ancient writers.
Finally, back on shore, he is now a full-time researcher and is currently focused on Ancient Egypt and its corresponding connections to human history. Articles by Willem Witteveen have been published in several magazines and on various websites and his English book about the Great Pyramid of Giza, concerning the function of this monument, was first published in Dutch in October 2012.
The Great Pyramid of Giza is not only the best known but also the most enigmatic structure on our planet. It has been studied, measured and illustrated for more than 200 years. Yet no one can say with any certainty why it exists. Willem Witteveen introduces a theory about its original function to demonstrate just how important the Great Pyramid is to our understanding of the modern world and widens the context in which we can now view this spectacular icon. Its purpose was much more powerful than has previously been imagined and was closely associated with the five earthly elements, the five earthly elements responsible for creation.
Willem Witteveen includes the work of great researchers like for instance Tesla, Schauberger and Puharich. The creation of the Great Pyramid and other pyramids was far stranger than we have considered. Thanks to Willem's latest book, the ancient knowledge contained in the Great Pyramid now enters the modern world. This story will probably change your view on human history. The book follows the path of the elements in order to demonstrate the true purpose of the Great Pyramid. Each element represents a certain process inside the pyramid and when merged, it completes an extraordinary alchemical method for producing sustainable energy.

Very highly recommended for both scholars and laymen alike.
still cling to their outdated "tomb" thinking. And the second, to enlighten the new wave thinkers with his in depth investigation and intense research with hard cold facts. However, this book raises more questions than it answers. Where did the civilization of 12,000 + years ago go to ?? Who were they ?? Aside from the pyramid and Spinx messages what other signs did they leave of their existence ? Why did they dismantle the Pyramid machine and not leave it for future generations ? Were they time travelers or from another galaxy or universe ? Were they colonizing planets ? If the Great Pyramid was a energy machine that ran on water , how come we don't have them now , the plans are right in the book ??
Now for my review, first the Pros ;
--- PROS ---
1. The book itself is very well made with a solid binding.
2. The pictures and diagrams are explicit and in color.
3. It is a decent price
4. It is broken down by chapter very well.
5. A good conversation and coffee table book.
--- CONS ---
1. This is not a book for the average reader. The theories and mathematical
equations are very complicated and make up most of the book.
2. I found myself skipping over the complicated equation areas.
3. This book is not easy reading , due mostly to the equations.

This is a work of art in itself, and one that will stand the test of time as one of those great books you will always wish to read again or refer to.
