I absolutely loved The Emerald Tablet of Hermes! This book is a treasure trove of ancient wisdom and spiritual teachings. The author's insights and interpretations are truly enlightening and I found myself constantly inspired and motivated while reading. The writing style is engaging and easy to follow, making it a joy to delve into the teachings of the legendary Hermes Trismegistus. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in spirituality, alchemy, and personal growth. It's a must-read for those seeking to expand their knowledge and delve deeper into the mysteries of the universe.

It's simple but profound. The different translations, put me off a bit at first. Seems like a copout for substance to our mortal mind, we expect more words, different words. After reading the different translations through and then again, I was somewhat astounded to find upon reading the Lord's prayer, the exact same thing found in this book. As above so below. / On Earth as it is in Heaven. So when the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, he told them a portion of the Emerald Tablet of Hermes. The many translations of this make it a study in linguistics as well. You have to appreciate the most consise version of the translation is that of H.P. Blavatsky. There is much wisdom in this book, a fine companion to the Kybalion.

Was very curious about this tablet but haven't had a chance to read it and that's sad because it's not that big of a book but I will get around to it. Lol!

I'm thinking I missed something in the lore of this book. Everyone else know it's just the same few lines translated differently by dozens of people? No reason to fault the book for that; It is most certainly the word of the Emerald Tablet of Hermes, over and over, in slight variations of translation method and interpretation.

It is a very short book, as you might expect. The content was as advertised, so no harm in that. -1 star for being so short and not being quite as forward about that. Didn't meet or certainly didn't exceed expectations.

Felt that I could have earned as much or more content from reading a Wikipedia article. Bit silly to make a book of it.

Excellent book, but expensive. Its companion, the Kybalion shares the same review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book.. want the secret ?

The One described in the emeral tablet is Osiris / Odin / Woden / Zeus / Thoth / adamas the tyrant / rhadamantum / shiva (all the same)

The sun is his father (Atum / Uranus / Anu) , the moon his mother (nyx , not , night , hathor, Aphrodite) , held in the wind like a womb (enlil, cronus, Ra) and nourished by the earth .. from personal research I would think that it should mean nurished by the waters of the earth (enki / Oceanus / Geb / Seb / poseiden).

You can start to get a good feel for what is going on by reading the tablets of Thoth .. He talks about becoming the Sun of man but crucially talks about the first gate after death (the moon) which he has the keys for , he later tells the reader that Osiris is the holder of the first gate .. giving you the clue that they are one in the same .

The emnations of the hindu god of destruction are seperate from one another but are essentially the same, Osiris is shiva and Thoth was one of his emnations.. * He was also known as one of Odins 2 birds or Zeus' see-ers, the other being his wife Isis / frig / eve which he created from his own rib (see adam in the bible)

I Can't say much more , but look at the gnostic texts , the demiurge that cut off his hand is the god Atum (atom) .. the smallest of the smallest, governed by 6 protons , 6 electons and 6 neutrons (666)
Read the lyrics of ronnie james dio songs on the wild one album (in order) then read the pistis sophia ... welcome to the club !

5.0 out of 5 stars In Whose Opinion?

This is a small compact version of approx. 12 translations from different scholastic and global sources. For those who wish to glean the "truth" themselves, I suggest buying it and mulling over the complexities of understanding by yourselves. Myself, I think that only by by-passing the words/verbage and going to the heart of the matter as pure thought can we come to understand the immensity of what Hermes T. was saying.

Awesome little book for the seekers of the light!

P.S. for those not familiar with the tablet's contents, there are only 14ish lines to the entire thing. Do not expect a "novel"! The book has 50 pages minus bibliography.
