It is futile to research ancient texts in English translation.

This is a welcome translation of this originally canonical, then extra canonical, then almost forgotten, then revived, then rediscovered, then re translated, and then re read by generations of scholars, exegetes, students, biblical scholars and possibly then you and me.

To say its required reading is an understatement. Any reference in popular culture with the concept of Watchers derives from this ancient book. And anyone will be most illustrated by knowing that this concept has a precise meaning and not the amalgam of applications that New Age boasters and gurus convey to it. And then so...

Enoch is an Ante Diluvian Patriarch. And most of all, he may be the first one referred to as son of man or vice versa, he may be the first one who interacted with someone under that descriptive name. Who knows. Such is the complexity of this book and the imagery of its language.

This translation shines. The notes also shine. This book brings light to the subject. It is not the final world nor the definitive on the subject. But it will become a required reference. No one will be able to treat the subject without using this book as the provider of citations for this is the most sensible translation that I know of.

I found this book to be enlightening.I couldn't put the book down. Dr Nyland answered many questions about what happened to Enoch, angel names and actions, and heaven. This book weaves you through creation, popular bible stories, and the introduction of heavenly beings. The book can be confusing at times when one is trying to grasp Enoch's descriptions and details (about portals and schedules). I eventually found that I was wanting to know more. The foot/endnotes allow for cross references with the bible and other sources. This book is a good start for someone waking up to the fact that there are more details to the people/events in the bible. A great read.

If you are going to read this review, then there is a possibility that you will purchase this book. If you do, well, you're going to realize that you will be in possession of a rare treasure. In contemplation of the purchase of  this particular book by Dr. A. Nyland, I read some reviews. The reviews on Amazon by Relytia and Scott Meade encouraged me to do further research. There is a lot of controversy!  And, I am going to easily dispel these matters by simple truths. When it comes to matters of God, truth only comes in two ways; through God's Holy Spirit and Holy Scriptures. Besides Christ,  there were only two people that ascended into Heaven without experiencing death; Enoch and Elijah. If Enoch was a hoaxer or a perpetrator of lies do you really think he'd  be in Heaven? Enoch was the great grandfather of Noah. Enoch not only walked with God, he was one of his great scribes. He lived for 365 years. This book was extant centuries before the birth of Jesus Christ. The Book of Enoch started around 300 BC and ended during the first century before Christ. Shortly thereafter, became the intentional omission of God's Word. And thus, The Great Persecutions arrived with the intentions of complete destruction of the Christian way of life, including mass killings, the burning of buildings, churches and all literature. This mass persecution continued for approximately ten years until Constantine became the sole emperor of the Roman Empire. At which point he extended the Christians a Right of Life. Constantine then perverted  members of Orthodox Christianity to continue the destruction of all books and writings. The Book of Enoch became discredited and subsequently banned due to Dominion Theory (control of the masses) of Papal Rome. Constantine hastened the formation of a definitive canon of approved New Testament Books. He was adamant in the destruction of Christian writings and beliefs with the exception of their definitive canon of approvals, with the hope that further generations would have no knowledge of the true teachings of Christ or practices and traditions  thereof. Constantine and his thugs destroyed books and writings on which many contained teaching and traditions that had originated from Christ Jesus himself! Apocryphal ligature hidden from the masses was mostly destroyed. The Book of Enoch was deemed as revealing too much of the truth. And for your edification, Constantine claimed to be a Christian...that's a joke!  Oh, not be me; by him!  I guess his testimony to being a Christian is the killing of his wife and son in 326AD, or is it the fact that no one ever saw the name of Jesus Christ written or that Christ Jesus was never uttered from Constantine lips even to his last breath!  Or maybe it was his intention to unite Pagans with Christians. How does one unite those that worship creation and those that worship the Creator?  And. If you don't belong to the Roman Church, you're going to spend all eternity in hell...oh, really!  Jeez, where does Christ teach that?  Perhaps, now you know more about the Truths of the World and the intentional concealment of The Book of Enoch which is truly Holy Scripture! And by the way,  Ethiopia includes The Book of Enoch in its Canon!  It is a country that dates back to 200BC. It is also mentioned 20 times by name in the Bible! Enoch is quoted in Jude; is in Hebrews, Chapter 11; Genesis, Chapter 5. 2 Enoch has a great number of similarities to the Gospel's and 2 Enoch occurs in writings by Clement of Alexandria. Also, quoted in a number of Christian Apocryphal Writings. This particular publishing was culminated by Dr. Nyland by using a totally unbiased position. And cheers to Amazon as they are one in a few to bring these matters of truth to people globally, as This Book of Enoch is: The Most Amazing Book in Existence!

I've heard about this BOOK of ENOCH for many years but have never been able to find it. This is considered to be one of the many Gospels that were systematically excluded from the Roman Catholic Church, classified as Apocryphal for whatever arbitrary reasons unknown. After reading the three books-in-one it's become clear as to WHY it was excluded...it corroborates other scriptural gospels but goes MUCH DEEPER and reveals some remarkable accounts of Prophet Enoch's encounters with the Angelic Realm his transliteration to the 10HEAVENS, his meeting with THE ANCIENT ONE (ALMIGHTY LORD CREATOR OF ALL...GOD) and his meeting METATRON, who we today know of as JESUS CHRIST. A must read for anyone seeking more information, clarity and knowledge of what goes beyond the teachings in the highly annotated version of the King James Bible.

This book completely blew me out of the water. Don't know how much of it I can accept as being factual, but most definitely gives one a sneak peek into what it may very well be like in Heaven. I couldn't quite finish it. I read a great deal, but this was definitely "over the top". Much of it lines up with Scripture, if not all of it. It certainly augments the Holy Scriptures. It was well written and I would like to read it again sometime. Very interesting to say the least, and it answered some questions I wasn't aware of until I got into it. Like: Where did the idea of healing herbs come from? What about the sciences? Magic, potions, curses, etc.? A very revealing book! A good read after reading the Holy Bible through at least once, so you can recognize the connections.
